There are two options to become a member at Sudbury Basin Potters.

Option 1: One way to become a member at Sudbury Basin Potters is taking the 8 week handbuilding class which teaches you the basics of working with pottery. It's $175, includes your clay and firing fees and takes place at the studio in New Sudbury. Read more here.

Option 2: If you already have experience working with clay you can opt to have your work evaluated by one of our experienced members to ensure that you have the skills that you would get from the class. Please email us pictures of your work at sudburypotters@gmail.com.

Once you've completed the handbuilding class or had your work evaluated, you can become a member of Sudbury Basin Potters. There is a contract to sign which includes health and safety and privacy information as well. There is also a $120 annual membership fee and a $50 key deposit (refundable). Once you get the studio tour, you'll receive your key and can start working at the studio.
